[Music] hello guys hi uh this is me daddy eric and here's my partner ina so today we're making a video about our tesla solar installation uh the reason why we went with tesla it's because it makes the process so much easier i don't have to deal with anyone no one has to come in to talk to me because i'm a little bit shy and i'm an introvert if you guys know i'm just kidding so anyway so the reason why we did it is just because i can do i can just do it online easily welcome to life with achievement so to make it short i started applying may 16th through their website then it's gonna ask me for a few details blah blah blah is gonna ask me for how much uh how much is the average uh bill that i get from duke energy which is our grid or power provider here in central florida then on the night of that i got a reply from them right away uh asking a few details for from our house so he asked me for some pictures of the front of the house the side that's facing south uh a picture of the roof you know how you don't really have to go up but you can just get a picture from the side on the picture of the electrical panel inside so mine was in the garage basically all those pictures you're gonna see those later too uh a picture of the electrical panel outside and a picture of the meter so after i submitted that the day after i got an email from them um with an attachment of the solar panel layout on the roof so you know pretty much it was really quick it's gonna ask you for confirmation if you like that design so once you hit that i think it was after two days or a week and the last week of may uh i got a confirmation from them that there will be classical mate will i got a confirmation that they are going to be installing uh the panels and is asking me asking me for a schedule so i went with the earliest one which is the first week of june specifically that was june 3. uh but before that uh permit-wise you don't really have to worry about anything uh because it's gonna be tesla uh submitting the permit to your county and if your subdivision which is uh which like ours has an hoa so basically you have to just apply for the hoa and put in solar panels and sometimes your hoa would ask for the job details but mine didn't so because they already know tesla and probably they have a prior experience which is kind of good so that got the process sped up up until the scheduling so all in all it only took about like roughly two weeks to be exact so on june 3rd the truck came in and they started the installation they said usually it can only take them a day for the installation but uh later that day it rained so they had to stop it and they said if in the two hours it's not gonna stop then they might have to come back so they came back the next day and only took them half a day to finish the installation and after that they gave me a brief explanation of what to expect next and what what am i gonna do after once i get the go signal from them so after that's gonna be the the frustrating part of all the process it's the waiting so because after the installation the county has to come back to check the job to check the work if it's okay if it's up to the standard if it's up to code then once that's done mine only took about like two days and the county approved it right away after that was done it was painstakingly hard for me basically to wait because it took a while for took energy to change the meter to have to have it run either ways because you're aside from you getting the power from the grid you can also it's a very big possibility that you're going to be giving power to them because of your solar panels so from june 3rd or june 4th that was the install that was done with installation the meter was changed around second week i'm not mistaken second week of september but the good thing about it is i haven't really started the loan payment uh until september so it only took me like a week or two without having really started the solar panel but already paying it so anyway that was the most frustrating part and yeah once it uh once the change the meter got changed so i turned on the solar panel and i turned on the solar system and it worked right away so far up until now this is we're already in may 2022 so far i have no problems never had any hiccups with the system so the next one will be we're gonna show you videos of the installation and we're also gonna give you a table of or the financial and the numbers basically the number of details and how much our solar panel system costs and i'm going to show your average bills for the past few months before that before the installation and basically it's also going to tell you why you can really save if you go with solar panel insulation on the roof because our solar system based on my computation it's gonna be paid off in about roughly seven years and after that you're gonna be you can say that you're getting your energy free from the sun so which is free for all of us human kinds so enough of the talk run the videos so the sun is covered with a little bit of i think those are rain clouds hopefully it's not gonna rain or hopefully when it starts it's gonna be by the end of the day when they're already done [Music] [Music] [Music] so the project had a little bit of hiccup because as of this time two o'clock in the afternoon this happened so but i guess with all the solar panels up already they're probably like in ninety percent getting details done and more and we're good to go so three o'clock rain is done sun's back up again time to resume work typical florida weather in the summer so it's going to be blazing hot again so this part right here is going to show you our monthly bills ranging from june 2020 to may 2021 on the left will be the amount that we paid and on the right will be the corresponding kilowatt hours that we've used and you also get the monthly average bill for those 12 months so this is the total amount that you're going to pay or the total amount that's going to cost you if you get the system from tesla so this is a 8.16 kilowatt system it's going to produce estimated roughly about 11 nine kilowatt hours so my usage before the year before was roughly around twelve thousand so it's almost a par or like ninety-five percent efficient or the ninety-five percent offset to your assist uh to your electricity and at the time when i applied this is still this was still available one percent aprs can be payable for five years i didn't put out a down payment and on top of that you know with a government incentive you get a 26 percent tax credit that you can apply for the next income tax return so that's 4 238. so with tesla you're going to get two options in paying so it's a good thing that they already calculated your first or 17 month assuming that you're going to give back the 26 percent tax credit that you'll be getting so my first to 17 month is 210 dollars and 80 cents i kept the money because that is liquid so from 18 month to 60th month onwards what i'll be paying is going to be 313 and 51 cents and that's going to lead you to a total of 17 064 dollars and 53 cents minus that to the solar system amount which is 16 400 you're gonna get roughly about 500 to 600 interest which is not that bad thinking that you already got the 4238 it's more like your equity and if you're not gonna opt for that if you're gonna give back the 26 tax credit then you're gonna you're only going to be paying 210 for the rest of the term and that's going to lead you to a total of 16 886 with just an interest of 400 and so as you can see we have the average bill 146.8 that's just a year before so i'm assuming that that's still going to go up just because as of right now with inflation so uh total with prepayment the total amount is 17 064 and 53 cents and i kept the 4238 so that total money that i'll be getting out of my pocket to pay the solar system will be 12 826.53 divide that with the monthly average bill that i paid before so all in all my system payoff assuming that everything is going to be good its system is going to be okay system is going to be efficient and producing that much as what they said so it's going to lead you to 87 months or 7.28 years and after that i can say that my energy bill is free you get the energy from the sun which is free for all but you're not gonna be totally free because you're gonna be paying uh the grid company the meter and for example in our case the duke i'm only paying 12-13 dollars for the meter but they have this minimum bill adjustment that's gonna lead you that's going to lead your minimum bill to 33 that includes a tax already so what i'm paying is just 33 every month assuming that i have an excess of solar production but for the next slides showing you the production of the system against the power that i'll be getting from the grid so on the first month which is september and the system was up for like a week or two so it showed you that we have an excess or we got power from the grid which is 88 kilowatt hour and on the next month october 2021 which is the first month that we have the system up for full days or full 30 days or 31 days then i got an excess i got power from the grid which is 83.1 kilowatt hour and for the next slide which is november 2021 temperatures started to drop consumption's not that consumption electricity is not great and plus it was still sunny so your production in the solar is still good so i have a surplus of 310 kilowatt hours and that surplus is going to be given to the grid they're going to bank it consider it like your power bank and they're gonna give you back for any excess energy that you give that you stored in their company every february and correct me if i'm mistaken i think they're gonna pay you with how much they you pay for the energy charge so yeah basically you're gonna get money back and on top of that you're just gonna get the minimum bill if you have an excess of solar production so up until the slides can show you up until may 2022 because that's the only information that i have will be available as of this moment so i'm still waiting to see during the hot months during the summer if i'm gonna get an access or if i'm gonna give surplus back okay guys i think that's about it so i hope you find the videos and the information useful and helpful to you so just in case if you're situated in orlando on trans or in central florida or anywhere in part of the us that has a sunny weather so i hope you can find this very useful and you know at least we are trying to do our part and try to save the planet and at least to help you financially and trying to save you off of your energy bills so that's about it i'm gonna show you a referral link just in case if you go with tesla so i'm gonna get money if you click on the link or if you apply the link on your desktop in your cell phone and you're also gonna get money back just by getting the referral link well thank you so much and i hope you guys have a great day [Music] ...
