I've been seeing ads online for weeks maybe months and maybe it's been longer than that that claim that there are 11 States of America that's what they say do not buy solar panels if you live in one of these 11 States of America which is a really weird way to say something you would be saying do not buy solar panels if you live in these 11 states in the U.S or something that sounds not weird the 11s these 11 States of America is not the way that someone would normally say that so that that's already weird and then there are a lot of these websites that claim that you can get solar panels at like what they call no net cost they're trying to you know somehow imply or make you think that it's going to be free even though they would claim that that's not what they're claiming and there are all these ads out there with people on Tick Tock and YouTube claiming this some of them are like pulling the camera at themselves or they paid someone to do it you know a spokesperson Fiverr or whatever and it appears to be an affiliate marketing thing that will allow whoever is pushing the videos the ads or whatever to make a little bit of money money based upon the information that you provide to the website that the ad goes to so basically you're providing your data you know your first name last name phone number email address whatever whatever information they're asking for so that then they can get get that information out to different partners marketing Partners companies that can maybe offer you solar panels or solar technology in your area and maybe they get a little Kickback from that so if you get a thousand people to give your data you know a thousand people to give your data give their data away rather then they maybe have made a good bit of money depending on how much that is per person I don't really know really quick hit the like button down below the thumbs up button that will help me rank higher in Google and YouTube search results and people might be able to find my video with real insight not some sort of affiliate marketing thing or an ad or whatever and that might be able to help people out all because you hit the like button a lot of this has to do with the 11s these 11 States of America and the inflation reduction act and all these things that make you think you're going to get free solar panels and I'm seeing nothing about that being the case that is something that again they might claim they're not saying but they know what they're doing they they know that these ads look like they're trying to promise that you can get free solar panels and it's not the case and you probably are watching this video because you typed out some of the words that appeared in these ads and you're finding me and maybe not that many other people talking about these specific ads that are going on that are out there now as for the inflation reduction act I've been looking into this in the last few months to see if even you know I would get solar panels something like that and what I found was and I found this on a few different websites but I'm going to read from CNET CNET reported this as did others a federal incentive expanded in 2022 through the inflation reduction act can offset 30 percent of the cost of a residential solar installation so 30 percent not free pretty good discount though right and for when I from what I'm reading solar is pretty cheap right now so you're not going to be paying more than ever or anything like that based upon what I what I you know had researched just in the last few minutes in the last few weeks rather I I looked at a few weeks ago just to see what the pricing was how it was working these days but anyway if you see these ads you're not going to get free solar panels free solar technology in 11 States of America which I think that that because it's at the very beginning of the ads do not buy solar panels if you live in these 11 States of America that's what's at the very beginning of these YouTube and Tick Tock ads right that's because they want to catch your attention immediately and get you to keep watching making you think oh they're going to tell me what these 11 states are and they're not going to do that that's just to hook you in so you watch the rest of the video so I hope that that me talking about this after seeing all these weird ads gives you a little bit of hope that maybe there are some people out there who can still tell you exactly what's going on be honest and try to give you the the lowdown on what's going on with something that appears to be being advertised at scale right now I'm getting these ads constantly not just on YouTube but also on Tick Tock like I said Plus on the sides of articles on websites when I'm reading an article like a News website and these these ads are out there right now when I'm making this video in June 2023 and they're probably not going to go go away anytime soon and I I can't think of much else that I wanted to say about this but I just got back from from a long walk and uh you know exercising whatever and I I was thinking about these ads I keep saying putting my thoughts together and this is all that I could think about and and all that I rather could come up with if you saw anything else about this that you think might be helpful if you actually gave your information away and you received calls from different solar companies or whatever and you probably ended up saying hey but I saw in the ad that there was an ad online that said that maybe there were going to be free solar panels or no net cost whatever that means and you know they probably were like well you know solar panels aren't free but we can show you how to get some discounts from the government the inflation reduction
