thanks for stopping in my name is Justin in today's video I'm going to be talking about how you can Source your own solar components for wholesale prices and I know a little bit about this because I sourced and built my own 10 kilowatt solar system on my 36 by 56 garage and I want to share my experience with all of you guys out there that are looking to go solar but you can't afford to pay those solar contractors to come out and put this large solar system on your property simply because of the cost and if you're into that type of thing consider subscribing to the channel tap that little notification Bell so when I put out new videos you get notified so let's get started where you could find all the components you need to build your own solar system in this video I'm going to talk about four places and I'm really going to go in depth on one of the places because I think that's going to be the best Avenue you can take to save the most amount of money a sourcing your own items for your complete solar system then you're gonna have these other two places and I'm going to talk more about these a little bit later where you can go and buy the little components connectors rails Fasteners just things you're going to need when you build out your solar system the number one place that you should check out before purchases from anywhere is Santan solar and I'm going to really go in depth on this and I'm going to actually go over to the website we're going to talk about where you can purchase different things they have used panels new panels they have complete solar kits that you can purchase from there this is why I'm recommending them because for most people this is going to be the easiest Avenue there's another place the number two place the place that I actually used to buy my own solar panels is called Surplus solar now they're not as user friendly on their website but I did have a good experience with them through the customer service although my panels took about a month and a half to actually get to me there was a shipping delay and that shipping delay was caused from a snowstorm so it's acceptable and the other two places that I'm going to be talking about are City Electric Supply which is the largest electrical house in the nation I do believe and the other one is Northern Arizona wind and solar that's where I bought half of my components and the other half of my components come from City Electric Supply had I had it to do over again I would have probably purchased a complete system from San Tan solar and we'll touch base on all of those different websites but I really want to dive deeper into Santan solar and show you exactly what you could be looking forward to when you go check them out and I'm going to leave links in the description below so you can click on them and easily go over the Santan solar I am going to be an affiliate with them simply because I really trust in their items and their products and the prices and their service I would not do it if I did not believe in the services that they offer so if you click that and you go over and you buy something I do get a little bit of commission off of that but if you purchase from any of these places I think you'll be happy so I'm going to jump over on the computer and we're going to take a look at every one of these websites so you get a better understanding how to sign up and how to navigate and how to purchase from these four different suppliers all right I'm going to start with Santan solar and once you arrive on their website this is what you're going to see you're going to scroll down you're going to see the future products they even have Tesla powerwall 2 battery at the current time they have this now these things change constantly so you can check this probably on a daily or even a weekly basis and maybe see something different so here you'll also see that they have a 455 watt solar panel and a pallet of 31 of those for 7499 so you're looking at fourteen thousand one hundred Watts somewhere around that so 14.1 kilowatt system for 7 499 and that's pretty impressive because we're right above 50 cents per watt on the solar panels so and I'm going to explain why that's important a little bit later just remember that number around 50 cents per watt on solar panels as I start to show you prices from other electrical houses um that don't come close to that but are reasonable prices if we go outside of these four sites you're going to find that your solar panels Skyrocket so with that said at 74.99 that's a very good deal if you need that big of a system so let's talk about what they actually have to offer so they offer solar panels solar accessories solar kits which we're going to talk more about in just a second batteries charge controllers and inverters so I want to go ahead and touch base on those solar kits and let's scroll down and see what they have here uh this one right here is very enticing to me because it's a six kilowatt solar system using 455 watt panels but the most important thing for me is the in-phase micro inverters so I think this is a pretty good deal at Six kilowatts for right at seven thousand dollars right around a dollar Seventeen per watt that's pretty impressive let's click into it and find out what this actual bundle offers now let's scroll down and see what's included 13 solar panels 455 watts each 13 iq7a micro inverters which is important the A's are paired well with the 455 watt panels and we'll talk more about that in other videos and you get 13 drops on the Q cable basically that's how you're going to be hooking up your micro inverters and that's in portrait orientation that's important because depending on how you design your system whether you're in portrait or landscape you're going to want to make sure to pay attention to the size of your panel and if your cable can reach from one micro inverter to the next micro inverter and still have the required Loop to take the tension off of the connection point so that's important you're going to have the combiner box three and because you're using iq7 micro inverters you can use the combiner Box three also included is two eating 20 amp circuit breakers which is for building out your branches when you build your array and two Terminator caps for the Q cables included and although this system is right around 1.17 per watt you're going to have to buy a rocking system whether you put it on a roof or in ground so you want to keep that in mind that can get expensive especially if you're going in ground it's a little bit more expensive to go there then of course what it's going to take to put it on a roof so just keep that in mind and if you're going to put it on a roof uh those other websites I talked about earlier we're going to touch base on you'll be able to buy it from there let's say you wanted to purchase that kit you just come down here as location it's going to calculate what the shipping is going to be typically your shipping is going to be on a full pallet of solar panels around four or five hundred dollars so that's something to be expected if it's way over that then you might want to reach out to them and see what's going on and also on San Tan solar let's say you weren't building a solar system and you were just doing let's say a shop or a small shed that's out on your property you want to build this for cheap then just go right over here to shop go to solar panels and check this out you can come down here and get solar panels 255 watt solar panel for 50 dollars so just browse around see if you can find a deal of what you're looking to accomplish I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find the panels on San Tan solar that could work for you but if you can't head on over here to Surplus solar click see inventory now it's not as friendly as San Tan solar on seeing the prices but everything that they have available at this time is brand new solar panels and they got some real good name brand panels on here like let's say J.A solar they got they have 10 800 of these solar panels available right now ready to ship let's go down here to Q sales one that a lot of people like they have 5 394 of those panels ready to ship now the only catch with this is you're going to have to contact them to find out what their price is on this I I reached out to them negotiated with them on my price and ended up with s energy 370 watt panels and I got 27 of them it was shipped to my door it took a little bit of time because it got caught up in a snowstorm but they delivered it straight to my door put it inside my garage and I have a video on that I'll leave a link in the description below where they have actually took it off the truck and had it set in the garage but that's where I got it from with Surplus solar so if you can't find the panels that you're looking for over there on Santan solar be sure to check out Surplus solar and if you can't find what you're looking for on those two we're going to move right on over here to City Electric Supply this is actually where I bought my rail system from some wiring some connectors uh boats uh I've divided between City Electric Supply and the next one I'm going to show you is the northern Arizona wind and sun or solar electric and I'll get to that in just a second but that's where I split my purchases from on most of my items and the reason is because I bought the biggest items here because I got free shipping on anything that was over forty dollars you can see it right here on this top of their site even Freight and I bought 14 Foot Rails they sent it straight to my door on freight two-day Freight actually and got it delivered for free now something that you might want to note here is you don't want to have a trade account you don't have a trade account if you're not a electrical contractor or have an accountant with a City Electric Supply it's going to be hard to purchase with them trying to get a an account like that a trade account so what you want to do is go find what you're looking for let's do Iron Ridge and I'm just going to say we're going to purchase some rails so let's add one of these into the cart so we're at that's a 14 foot rail for thirty dollars and the xr10s are actually what I bought I just bought them in Black I paid a lot more than that for it right there that's a pretty good deal so let's go to the cart and then we're going to say we're going to purchase 10 of those all right so we got 10 that's going to this is probably the site for you and one last thing that's very important about City Electric Supply is that most of the items that you're going to see here are they're going to have them in stock so we're going to do a search on the Iron Ridge again and you're going to see they're going to tell you how many they have in stock right now so they have 110 in stock of this 305 of that 9452 of that that means they can ship them out the next day and have it at your place probably within a two or three day period that's important because with the way everything's going right now everything is so backlogger and causes so many delays we don't want that we want a reputable reliable supplier and that's what I'm trying to provide you guys with City Electric Supply was the fastest shipping that I use in all these Services we're going to move on over to Northern Arizona wind and Sun I'll sometimes might refer to that as Northern Arizona wind and solar or solar electric because they have changed their name to Naz solar electric so just kind of giving you an idea when I mention those names that's what I'm talking about if you're going to do everything from one site so you're going to purchase everything from one supplier this is the company that I would recommend because it would just make it easier for you you won't get the best prices on your solar panels versus those guys that are doing wholesale but you're going to get really good prices on it compared to other electrical houses or other companies that are dealing solar equipment Northern Arizona winning sun is a very reliable company that you can rely on to get any of the products that you need for your solar system so let's say we want to go over here and we wanted to purchase a solar so I'm typing in for solar panel and I'm just going to pull up the first one here uh this REC Solar it's a 365 watt solar panel and you're gonna pay 330 dollars a panel for that if you remember earlier when I talked about the 50 cents per watt that's what I was talking about this is actually a good price at 330 dollars for 365 watt panel it's less than a dollar a watt on just the panel itself but it cannot compete with those discount solar companies like Santan solar Surplus solar but if you're wanting to purchase it from one place this is probably the company you'd want to look into so just be sure to search and if you find better deals than these four that I'm saying here be sure to leave it in the comments because we all want to know where we can get the best deals on solar and to help out someone that's trying to do the same thing you're doing that's exactly what I'm trying to do I'm just trying to help everybody go solar that can do it theirself let's get it done and then for this company this is going to be those sellers if they're brand new items and if they're brand new items they still qualify for the 30 percent tax credit so whether you're buying them from one of these sites here or Ebay as long as it's brand new never used it still qualifies for the 30 percent tax credit when you're adding up your cost of your solar system so make sure to check out Ebay to see if you can even find better prices than these four sites now one thing I will note about eBay it's not as reliable as any of these sites that I mentioned earlier because it may be there one day a and can be gone the next and it may not
